This is an interesting view of the Bodnolwyn Wen site.

The body of water is Llyn Alaw the five mile reservoir. The rectangular field at 4 o clock between two groups of buildings is the site of Anglesy Log Cabins.  As can be seen it is a short walk to explore the reservoir, walks are easy either side of the lower dam, central in the frame.
